Forbidden Corner #1

On Sunday, me and Angela visited the Forbidden Corner in North Yorkshire.

It’s a tourist attraction which is 4 acres of follies in a rural setting, the countryside surrounding it is really gorgeous and you can spend AGES in the maze getting lost!

Statues, doors that lead nowhere, fountains that will squirt you as you go past, tunnels, stepping stones….

It’s like Narnia, Alice in Wonderland and a weird dream all mixed together! (Although I didn’t take many pictures of the bizarre stuff, I actually focused more on the flowers and herb garden which will be in the next post).

It’s gorgeous isn’t it?! They had so many different types of roses growing, I had to limit myself in pics or else the whole i-phone would be taken up with flower photos!

Yeah, it’s a lovely area, and it’s always busy, even though you have to book in advance. It’s best in summer when everything is blooming (although the last time I was there the maze was a bit shorter so it was easier to get out!).
