Well I don’t know about you but I am pooped! I suddenly got hit by the motivation bug on Saturday and all this walking and stuff after 4 months of not much has me absolutely cream crackered! I even washed up today…milestone!
And I managed to master the ripple stitch today too…so a day of firsts in some ways! 🙂
For ages I have wanted to have a go at the ripple stitch in crochet but not really got round to it. I know the theory and I know there are variations depending how steep you want your chevrons to be but finally I have it under control…by which I mean ACTUALLY had a go at it. Exciting, right? Yup, I thought so 😛
I thought I would just do a practice first, and I had some cheap and naff wool lying around so the colours aren’t great. It looks kind of baby blanket sized but we’ll see when it’s ‘done’.
Sorry they are not great quality pics. But improving on my photography is on my to do list. After cake. So it’s always on the list!
After this I think I will have a go at some crochet flowers and if they are good enough I might send them to Yarndale.
I don’t normally like doing flowers but I think I will have to try more things and not just stick to things I know I can do. It’s just I hate working in the round and I HATE changing colours. I will go out of my way (see pic above) not to do frequent colour changes, such as making sure I do at least two rows.
Yarndale is looking for people to crochet and donate flowers for a big display and which will be raffled off in aid of the Alzheimers Society.

Anyone know any nice but simple flower designs?
So who knows. I also have several new works in progress started and lots of ideas for new ones!
I’m so tired I need to go snoozies…it’s a hard life.
See you soon
